When looking at his pedigree, Sanseverino is a real promise for the future. His sireline WH Santanello - Santorelli - Santinus II has amassed great success in the international competitions. Damsire Vantano and dam's grandsire Contestant II have not only had great success in the ring, but have also proven to pass their strengths to their offspring.

As a young horse in training at his breeder's stables, Sanseverino proved his potential in dressage. He was put under Annika Hietala, a Finnish dressage rider located in Finland to start his career in young horse classes at the age of five, which was considered a bit risky at the time. The pair proved to be good enough together, until Wautershof decided to sell Sanseverino to a new home after the contract with Hietala was ended. The breeder didn't want to auction him off, so he stayed at home under a home rider for over a year before bought to Rosslare.
Sanseverino was very calm and collected in the test riding and in all the videos. He had developed a lot from a young horse, especially in the focus and patience categories, according to his breeder. The chestnut seemed very gelding-like for a stallion, and looked to be very suitable teaching master for Rosalind for international level.

Sanseverino is a gentle stallion, and mostly easy to handle. Sometimes Rino can invent little tricks he thinks are funny, which might not be so fun for the groom or the rider. He gets distracted sometimes, both in-hand and horseback, and needs to be reminded to focus on the task at hand. In new surroundings, especially competition grounds, it's good to walk Rino around and let him stop and stare, so that he can focus later on when needed.
Overall Rino is sensitive and supple after a good warm-up. He needs a tender hand, since he can easily stay and bite on the bit too much, especially if he's not properly focused. When he is fully present and properly under the rider, he gives his 110% and tries his heart out in the ring.
