The stables

The stables at Rosslare were originally built in 1925 and included 10 stalls for competition horses. The building was renovated a few times, until in 2015 it needed to be taken down and rebuilt from scratch. The new stable that is still on the grounds today consists of 9 stalls, a proper tackroom, drying toom, a toilet, two water boxes that can also be used for grooming, and enough storage and moving space.

Three big doors are used as the main entryways and for horses; one opening up to the mare pasture, and the two opening up to the daily paddocks. Smaller doors for people are located in the back of the building in different spots for easy entry. The three stalls on the east wall have doors that open outside fully or half way for the horses to look outside to the mare pasture.
