Stal Zwanehof

Welcome

Stal Zwanehof is a dressage stable specialising in baroque horses, particularly Friesian. We have some other breeds in the stable, such as baroque cross breeds. Our horses are competing sporthorses and part of our small breeding program.

Located south of Groningen, near Emmen, in the Netherlands, Zwanehof was founded in April 2025 by Dutch dressage rider Josephine van de Zwaan. She has made a career as a professional dressage rider, working in different stables around Europe, and is now running her own business alongside her competitive career. At Zwanehof we have a team working with Josephine to provide all our horses the best care, training and facilities.

Team Zwanehof

Josephine van de Zwaan

Owner and professional rider, competes and trains horses. Born in 1995 in the Netherlands, worked as a rider in Germany and Belgium.

Noor Mousavi

Co-owner and professional rider, competes and trains horses. Born in 1994 in Egypt, moved originally to Belgium for riding.

Mathijs de Vos

Professional rider, competes and trains horses. Born 1990 in the Netherlands, childhood friends with Damiaan.

Rina Hanraets

Professional rider, competes horses. Born in 2000 in the Netherlands, studies business in Groningen.

Damiaan Driessen

Stable manager and at-home rider, Josephine's partner. Born 1990 in the Netherlands, fluent in Dutch, German and English.

Carel van de Zwaan

Dressage trainer, Josephine's uncle. Also works for the Friesian Association and trains Friesian horses.
